CES 2016: Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite with 8MP camera and LED flash launched
In the recent times CES has not been much about smartphone but Lenovo has bucked the trend this time. The Chinese smartphone major has announced Vibe S1 Lite smartphone at $199, expected to go on sale in early 2016.
The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite comes with very basic innards compared to Vibe S1 which was launched last year.
The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite comes with a 5-inch Full HD display same as the one seen on Vibe S1. The smartphone is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB RAM. In comparison, the Vibe S1 had faster 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor along with 3GB RAM.

CES 2016: LG to showcase 18-inch display that can be rolled up like a newspaper
South-Korea’s LG Electronics plans to showcase an 18-inch flexible display. The display can be rolled up like a newspaper, according to a press statement from the company.
LG Display will showcase OLED and LCD dproducts, including the 18-inch rollable display at CES. LG is not the first company to showcase a flexible display at CES.
In the past at CES 2013, Samsung revealed a prototype device with a entirely flexible device. So far that device hasn’t yet made it to production. Sony had also showcased an OLED flexible display in 2010, much before Samsung, which could be wrapped around a thin cylinder and still produce moving images.
At CES 2016, LG will also showcase a 15.6-inch laptop weighing just 980 grams, making it the lightest 15-inch laptop

Xiaomi Mi TV 3 launched with 70-inch 4K display in China
Xiaomi has launched Mi TV 3 which succeeds Mi TV 2, that was launched in early 2015. The Mi TV 3 is Xiaomi’s effort to build a TV that takes on the likes of Samsung and LG’s UHD TV range.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 3 features a 70-inch UHD display from Sharp. The Mi TV 3 is powered by quad-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A17 processor and graphics duty is handled by a Mali-760MP4 GPU.
The Mi TV 3 comes with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB internal storage. The TV which is supposed to be smart naturally supports connectivity options like ethernet port, micro USB port, full size USB 3.0 port. It also sports three HDMI ports

Asus Zenfone Max launched with 5000mAh battery at Rs 9,999
Asus has introduced the ZenFone Max smartphone in India at price of Rs 9999 which comes with 5000 mAh battery that can also double up as a battery pack to charge other devices.
The pre-bookings for ZenFone Max will open at 12 pm today on Amazon.in and Flipkart.com. It will also be available at ASUS Exclusive Stores and other retailers from the second fortnight of January.

Big screens, videos and cheaper smartphones to dominate in 2016: Micromax
The year that has just begun will be the year of large screens and videos, the demand for cheaper smartphones will grow and 3G and 2G users will continue to co-exist over the next few years in India, Micromax, one of the country’s leading smartphone makers, has predicted.
In 2016, entry of Chinese and Indian brands in mobile manufacturing market would be a key driver for new business models to emerge to ensure unit level profitability, the Micromax study noted, adding that it may be difficult for Chinese companies to enter and flourish if the Goods and Service Tax (GST) is implemented.
