At that time, the Xiaomi Mi 3 had almost top-of-the-line specifications, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 5-inch Full HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13-megapixel camera, 3,000mAh battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat. Crafted in a steel body and priced at just Rs. 14,000, it seemed like a deal too good to be true. I, like many others, took the plunge and bought it. It has been 18 months since that launch. Xiaomi smartphones to get Android Marshmallow update soon

Xiaomi smartphone users can rejoice as the company has revealed that its devices, including Mi 3, Mi 4 and Mi Note will soon be receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.The update is in its final stages and will be rolled out soon, said a report on Gizmochina. Xiaomi devices presently run MIUI 7 ROM based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. This particular ROM was released in October this year.
